Three more commercial entities have received unmanned aerial systems (UAS) exemptions from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Singer's Creations' exemption allows the operations of a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ quadcopter for aerial photography and videography in the real estate industry. Clients include, according to the petition document, “homeowners, Realtors, home builders, home contractors, and/or home inspectors” for the purpose of “real estate marketing and inspections of home exteriors.”
An exemption for Viking Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc. authorizes its AgriView aerial solutions division to operate the company’s Viking Ranger EX UAS for aerial photography and 3D mapping for agricultural purposes.
Lastly, 3D Aerial Solutions LLC’s authorization involves aerial filming for the motion picture/TV industry. The company can operate a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ “to conduct scripted, closed-set filming,” the exemption document states.
The Section 333 exemptions were granted on March 3, according to the FAA.
