An aerial videography and photography company has teamed up with the Mexico City International Airport to capture rarely seen views of airport runways in action – and, in turn, has shown an example of safe cooperation between manned and unmanned aircraft.
In a YouTube video entitled “Aeropuerto desde el aire” (Airport from the air), Mexico-based Postandfly says the Mexican Air and Space Navigation Services (SENEAM) reached out to the company to make the video, which shows an aerial perspective of the inner workings of an active runway.
Postandfly says it worked closely with SENEAM, the General Administration of Civil Aeronautics, the air-traffic control tower, and the airplane pilots to conduct the drone operations among the flying planes.
The company notes in the description that to get the shots, it deployed a F450 quadcopter, equipped with a DJI Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal and a GoPro Hero 3 Black camera.
The results of the successful collaboration can be found here.
