Government Shutdown Postpones FAA UAS Symposium

The fourth annual FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Symposium, scheduled for Feb. 12-14 in Baltimore, has been postponed due to the government shutdown.

The new conference dates will be announced after furloughed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees return to work, says the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), which co-hosts the event.

“Once employees return, we will continue to build an event that will bring stakeholders together from all sectors to help define the rules and concepts that will govern the future of drone operations,” the event site says. “It is only at this symposium where you will discover how we are working together to establish partnerships and identify the responsibilities, education and tools our partners need to be successful in their roles.”
