In line with the rapid developments of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), Netherlands-based UAS designer, producer and servicer Aerialtronics says it has restructured its management team.
Lucas van Oostrum will be focusing on new products, partners and business development in his role as chief technology officer.
Jeremy Wigmore has been appointed CEO. Wigmore is now responsible for worldwide operations, determining the international strategy and taking the lead in representing the company.
His experience in managing partners, commercial operations and developing markets make him particularly capable for the position, Aerialtronics says. Wigmore was previously senior vice president of sales at the company.
The Dutch fire department Twente recently purchased an Altura UAS from Aerialtronics. Twente will then start with an initial trial phase – the results of which will be used to determine the added value of UAS for fire departments in the Netherlands.
