According to a report from News 10 ABC, Turner Construction decided to operate the UAS for both marketing and educational reasons. The company can look at aerial footage of its work and see where improvements need to be made in the job.
Turner decided to use the UAS in lieu of a plane to cut down on costs and to increase the ease of use, the report says. Engineer Adam Della Monica told News 10 that the company has “more control of what [it is] taking pictures of,” and with the evidence, can prove its skills to clients.
