Buzzed: FAA Freezes Beer Company’s UAV Delivery Plans

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has put a Minnesota-based beer company's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) delivery plans on ice.

A YouTube video of Lakemaid Beer using a six-propeller UAV to tote a 12-pack to ice fishing huts in Wisconsin caught the eye of the FAA, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

The FAA called company President Jack Supple twice with orders to cease the activity. In addition, Supple says he received 74 pages detailing code violations and that his brewery has been blacklisted by the agency.
