Seiler Instrument Brings in Drones for Midwest Geospatial Customers

Trimble dealer Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co. Inc., which offers tools for geospatial professionals in the Midwest, is now offering Microdrones’ unmanned aircraft system (UAS) surveying packages to clients.

The Seiler Instrument – Geospatial Division serves professionals throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Indiana. The company has now brought in Microdrones’ mdMapper packages – complete solutions that include aircraft, sensors and software. The mdMapper product lineup currently includes the mdMapper200, mdMapper1000 and mdMapper1000DG.

Users can also increase the functionality of their systems by selecting accessory kits. Options include inspection, multispectral and thermal, and, soon, LiDAR and methane gas-detection kits.

“We are thrilled to welcome Seiler Instrument as an authorized dealer,” says Phil Kern, Trimble dealer manager for Microdrones.

Founded in Germany in 2005, Microdrones recently expanded into North America. Earlier this year, the UAS company inked a distribution deal with Navigation Electronics, which serves the Southeast.
