Parrot has introduced the ANAFI Work, a 4K “ultra-compact” drone designed for everyday business use: e.g., for construction professionals, independent contractors, site managers, architects or creative agencies, the company says.
Based on Parrot’s ANAFI drone, launched in June, the new unmanned aircraft system (UAS) features a 4K HDR video, 21 MP high-resolution camera with a three-axis stabilization system. It also features a controllable +/-90-degree-tilt camera, allowing users to inspect under structures with the Zenith view (+90 degrees) and the Nadir view (-90 degrees).
ANAFI Work’s camera is also equipped with a lossless zoom of 1.4x in 4K, 2.8x in full HD (1080p), and up to 3x standard digital zoom, allowing professionals to get a closer look at issues without reducing footage quality and while staying a safe distance away from walls, says Parrot.
According to the company, the ANAFI work offers a 25-minute flight time per battery. The drone weighs 320 grams (0.7 lbs.), and its four arms can fold and unfold in less than three seconds. It also features a USB-C charging system, which charges 70% faster than standard USB-A, the company says, and enables the drone to be charged on-the-go with smartphones, laptops or power banks.
Thanks to its powerful yet quiet propulsion system, ANAFI Work can fly in wind of up to 31 mph. In addition, its omnidirectional transmission system maintains a strong radio connection, thanks to four dual-band antennas embedded in the drone.
Using the FreeFlight 6 mobile app, users can fly autonomously and acquire data through the app’s piloting modes: Touch&Fly, POI (Point of Interest) and Flight Plan. The UAS also features geofencing, which allows the operator to define a specific flight zone with a maximum height and maximum distance, making sure the drone stays in the defined mission area. It also offers a return-to-home function, which brings the drone to its initial takeoff position.
Shipping in October, the ANAFI Work is available for pre-sale for $1,099, excluding tax, on Parrot.com or through official Parrot Business Solutions resellers. The ANAFI Work comes with the following components:
- One drone
- Four batteries
- One multi-port USB charger
- One Parrot Skycontroller 3
- Eight propellers
- One 16 GB SD card
- USB-A to USB-C cables
- A one-year subscription to Pix4Dmodel.
