Under the agreement, Dronecenter will offer Event 38's E384 drone and custom optical sensors to clients in Brazil and throughout South America.
The E384 drone has a two-hour flight time, carries a 1 kg payload and can cover a distance of 70 km. Combined with an Event 38 custom optical sensor, the E384 can fly 1,000 acres in a single flight and provide detailed imaging at a 2 cm level.
From its main office in Ribeirão Preto, located northeast of São Paulo, Dronecenter specializes in aerial data capture products mainly for the agriculture and surveying industries.
“The Event 38 drones give our customers an affordable, stable and accurate aerial mapping system,” says Medrado Alquemim, managing director of Dronecenter. “Our region is a center for agro-business and high technology, and the Event 38 drones are a good fit for our customers.’
Jeff Taylor, CEO of Event 38, adds, “Brazil is a very important market for us because it is a major worldwide food producer. Having a local presence will make it far easier for local clients to access our products.”
Event 38 says it now has customers in 49 countries.
