Agribotix, a Boulder, Colo.-based provider of drone-derived agricultural intelligence, has been selected as this year’s winner of the Emerging Cleantech Company of the Year by the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association.
The association is a statewide organization that aims to promote Colorado’s cleantech industries.
The association says 12 finalists were selected based on their ability to impact the clean technology marketplace, successful fundraising efforts, ability to scale technology and statewide job creation impact.
In 2015, Agribotix introduced FarmLens, an on-demand analytic service for agricultural drone data. FarmLens includes features such as the Digital Scouting Report, which integrates field reports produced using drones, historical weather data and in-field imagery.
“We are humbled that the association selected Agribotix for this exclusive prize,” says Tom McKinnon, founder and chief technology officer of Agribotix. “Every farmer who uses the results from our FarmLens service to target their application of fertilizer and chemicals not only saves money – they also help the environment by reducing harmful runoff.”
