SkySkopes Academy Offers its First UAS Training Course

SkySkopes Academy, an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) flight training academy based in Grand Forks, N.D., has launched its online “Remote Pilot Ground School Course.”

According to the company, the class is a self-paced, comprehensive course designed to give students knowledge needed to pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s exam for becoming a commercial drone pilot under Part 107. The interactive course also includes quizzes, practice exams and other resources to help students better prepare.

“Our online course is a necessity to anyone interested in flying drones,” notes Matt Dunlevy, founder of SkySkopes Academy. “It covers a variety of topics such as airspace types, flight principles and airport operations – information that is essential to operating drones safely.”

The online course is the first offered by SkySkopes Academy. The company plans to roll out more classes later this year, including in-person flight training this summer.
