Skylogic Research has released its new “Quick Start Guide to Drones in Construction,” designed to help drone service providers and business users maximize the value that drones can bring to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.
The report is the first in a new series of white papers intended to provide a complete primer to drone use in specific industries. The report, which is authored by Colin Snow, founder and CEO of Skylogic, consolidates Skylogic’s insights into the challenges and solutions drones add to a work site.
The report answers some of the following questions:
- How big is the construction drone market, and who are the major solution providers?
- How are drones used in the AEC industry, and what are the challenges?
- What do you need to know about regulations, pilot certification, insurance and
- What are the best practices for adopting drones into workflows?
The 10-page report also provides a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,
and threats) for evaluating and designing a drone program. It also comes with an appendix that includes links to online resources such as attorneys, advocacy groups, training and certification, and waivers and authorizations.
