Xuron Corp., a manufacturer of electronics-grade, ergonomic hand tools, has introduced a portable tool kit designed for making wiring field repairs to small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Packed in a canvas travel pouch, tools in the Xuron Model TK 3300 kit include the Model 2175 Maxi-Shear flush cutter for soft wire and materials up to 12 AWG (American Wire Gauge); the Model 2193 hard-wire cutter for hard wire up to 1 millimeters in diameter; and the Model 501 adjustable wire stripper that can accommodate wires from 10 to 26 AWG.
According to the company, the tools are made from high-carbon steel and are blackened to prevent glare. They also have cushioned rubber hand grips and Xuron’s trademarked Light-Touch return spring.
The company is selling the kit for $55.40. Xuron manufactures its tools in Saco, Maine, and the products are available at global distributors.
