Alpine, Utah-based Loveland Innovations, maker of an autonomous drone inspection solution for the insurance industry, has announced a new partnership with DJI, which will be supplying the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro, Inspire 2.0 and the Matrice 200 families of drones to Loveland Innovations.

In turn, the DJI unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) will be part of a new autonomous property inspection solution dubbed IMGING. According to Loveland Innovations, the new partnership will bring fully autonomous UAS inspections to insurance companies, roofing contractors and property inspectors.

The company says the solution is an app that “autonomously pilots an off-the-shelf DJI drone to capture high-resolution imagery and then feeds that imagery into insurance workflows for use in the underwriting and claims processes.”

“When we set out to elevate property inspections, we took a pragmatic approach to the hardware,” explains Jim Loveland, CEO and founder of Loveland Innovations, “After we defined the hardware requirements, we asked ourselves, ‘Should we build or partner?’ After an exhaustive look at the industry, it was an easy decision. Hands down, DJI was the leader by every measure. And using DJI drones, our IMGING solution is making safe, effective and fast autonomous drone inspections a reality.”

Under the terms of the partnership, Loveland Innovations is also a DJI enterprise dealer with an emphasis on volume sales.

“IMGING is a great example of DJI’s products going to work,” adds Tim Nguyen, who manages business development and strategic partnerships at DJI. “This partnership is a big win for the insurance industry.”
