The upcoming Drone World Expo has added a new session on aerial imaging, “Getting the Shot: Innovative Imagery & Filmmaking Using Drones,” led by Eric Cheng, director of aerial imaging at DJI and general manager of DJI San Francisco.

The session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Attendees will hear from industry experts about the latest innovations and techniques being used to create photos and video via drone.

“Cinematography is in the early stages of a new aerial imaging renaissance, and we are excited to bring the newest information to Drone World Expo attendees,” says Cheng.

Moderated by Cheng, who is on the Drone World Expo advisory board, the session also features Renee Lusano, creative/lifestyle/travel photographer; Andy Putch, co-founder of FreeSkies; Drew Roberts, founder and pilot of Wild Rabbit Productions; and Randy Scott Slavin, founder of Yeah Drones and creator of the New York City Drone Film Festival.

The Drone World Expo, produced by JD Events, will take place Nov. 17-18 at the San Jose Convention Center in California. Each day will kick off with a keynote presentation, followed by a full day of panels and case studies.
