Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used to aid in the search for three men who were missing after a massive mudslide in Mesa County, Colo.
The Falcon Unmanned was used to survey the Western Slope area and search places considered unsafe for officials to enter because of the danger of another possible mudslide, according to a CBS Denver report.
The UAV, which belongs to a local veteran of the Air Force, captured 3D photos and HD video of the disaster, which spread mud three miles and produced a slide several hundred feet deep and three-quarters of a mile wide.
