Sentera has announced the pre-order availability of the AGX840, an update to the company’s four-channel multispectral camera, engineered specifically for the DJI Matrice drone series.
Powered by DJI SKYPORT and integrated with a high-speed brushless gimbal, AGX840 brings multispectral capabilities to DJI Matrice 200-series platforms (M200 and M210). The solution is geared toward enterprise and academic researchers looking to obtain extremely precise crop health data.
“AGX840 delivers Sentera four-channel performance in a fully integrated, gimbaled package for DJI Enterprise,” says Eric Taipale, CEO of Sentera. “With up to eight bands of multispectral data and image capture and gimbal control via standard apps, it’s an incredibly powerful and easy-to-use product.”
According to Sentera, AGX840 streamlines and simplifies data collection. Four separate optical channels (RGB, Red, NDRE and NIR) can be configured with a variety of standard filtering options or custom-filtered in thousands of unique configurations. Using the DJI SKYPORT interface, the sensor can be installed and removed in seconds without tools. AGX840 data is also compatible with third-party software analytics tools, ensuring seamless integration into existing operations.
The sensor’s integrated brushless gimbal is designed to stabilize the imager against aircraft motion, and in high-accuracy applications, the gimbal ensures that the image path is oriented straight down.
Pre-orders opened on Nov. 8 for February 2019 delivery. Pricing starts at $4,999.
