Seats are filling up for the West Texas Drone Workshop, which will be held in Abilene on Nov. 16-17.
The nonprofit workshop is a cooperative effort of commercial drone pilots in the DFW and Midland/Odessa area. Speakers and organizers are volunteering to help the commercial drone pilot community by sharing best industry practices and offering a hands-on training session.
Organizer Matthew Hinman of Midland, Texas, says, “We were able to get seasoned professional pilots to come speak and teach on the topics of 3D mapping and volumetrics, real estate photography, aerial cinematography and thermography. We also were able to get a 27-year FAA veteran to answer questions about airspace authorizations.”
The workshop is open to drone pilots of all skill levels.
Advance registration is required before Nov. 5. More information can be found here.
