NUAIR Alliance Seeks Partners for UAS RDT&E Projects

By Betsy Lillian · December 11, 2014

In search of potential partners for research, development, testing and evaluation (RDT&E) projects in 2015 and 2016, the Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research (NUAIR) Alliance has released a request for information (RFI).

NUAIR, a regional alliance of public and private entities and academic institutions, is in charge of managing the Griffiss International Airport unmanned aerial systems (UAS) test site in Rome, N.Y., as well as designated airspace in Massachusetts.

β€œThe RFI supports the NUAIR mission of providing facilities and opportunities to support the FAA in UAS integration into the National Airspace System, while creating jobs through the expansion of existing businesses and development of new business at the Griffiss UAS test site,” according to Lawrence H. Brinker, executive director and general counsel of NUAIR.

RFI responses must be emailed to Dr. Ray Young at [email protected] on/before Jan. 16.

The RFI can be accessed here.
