BZ Media LLC, producer of InterDrone, the International Drone Conference & Exposition, has announced that Michael Huerta, administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will give the opening keynote address at the event, held Sept. 7-9 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

Keynote addresses will also be presented by Chris Anderson, CEO and founder of 3D Robotics; Shan Phillips, CEO of Yuneec USA; Paul Misener, vice president of global policy and communications at Amazon; Dr. Gregory McNeal, co-founder of AirMap; and Robert Blair, vice president of Measure.

In addition, BZ Media has announced InterDrone’s film festival, which will choose winners in six categories. The festival also includes a people’s choice award and an overall best in show, which carries a grand prize of $5,000. Winners in each category will receive $500 and a free all-access pass to InterDrone. In addition, runners-up in each category receive $200 and a free all-access pass.

With a deadline of July 15, submissions are $10 each and are hosted on Film Freeway. All entries must be three minutes or less in length and must be filmed with a drone in order to qualify. Last year, more than 300 submissions from 26 countries were received, says BZ Media.
