By UAO Staff

Berkeley, Calif.-based 3D Robotics (3DR) has announced the first webinar of its new series detailing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for commercial applications: “Solo For Business Webinar: Drones and Public Safety.”

3DR Holding ‘Drones and Public Safety’ Webinar with Austin Fire Dept.

Held on Jan. 28 at 11:30 a.m. PST / 2:30 p.m. EST, the webinar will feature Keith Bigelow, vice president of 3DR’s enterprise division; Coitt Kessler, a firefighter with Texas’ Austin Fire Department, what 3DR says is the U.S.’ first major metropolitan department to receive a Certificate of Waiver or Authorization to use UAS in national airspace; and John Buell, co-founder of the Austin Fire Department’s robotic emergency deployment team.

According to 3DR, attendees will gain insight into “relevant fire, first-responder, and search-and-rescue applications; how drone technology can enhance your existing toolkit and techniques; and how ‘sensors in the sky’ can make your teams more responsive and effective.”

3DR notes that space is limited. More information can be found here.
