Drone software company Pix4D has opened up a new office in downtown Denver, representing the company’s seventh location globally.

Pix4D develops a line of end-to-end mapping solutions that convert images into georeferenced maps, models and tangible information. The company also has locations in Lausanne, Switzerland; San Francisco; Shanghai, China; Berlin, Germany; Madrid, Spain; and Tokyo.

Pix4D says Denver is a major hub for geospatial and unmanned aircraft system (UAS) technologies. Denver will become the base from where the company will develop enterprise solutions tailored specifically to the North American market.

“We chose Denver for our new North American office because it’s a center of the geospatial community – and it’s also a beautiful location,” says Christoph Strecha, founder and CEO of Pix4D. “I look forward to the upcoming opportunities in the U.S. and around the world.”

A Pix4D User Conference will be held in the city on Oct. 2-3.
