B&H Photo & Video has installed a new testing cage within its recently introduced department for drones and aerial imaging at the company’s Manhattan, N.Y., SuperStore.
Complete with a landing pad, the cage allows customers to choose any B&H drone and watch it fly with the help of a supervisor. The cage measures 900 cubic feet (10′ x 10′ x 9′) and will be available to use during regular store hours.
“People are blown away by the cage,” says Eli Daskal, director of the store. “We provide our customers with a unique, amazing, hands-on experience. We want all of our customers to be able to play with the drones and demo them properly.”
B&H offers what it calls a “drone sanctuary”: an arsenal of quadcopters, hexacopters and octocopters, as well as related accessories, including spare props, batteries, transmitters, motors and replacement body kits.
