Mark Morrisson has been named executive director of the Oregon Unmanned Aerial Systems Business Enterprise, a nonprofit organization that aims to foster job growth and business development based on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology. In announcing the six UAV test site operators, the Federal Aviation Administration noted that test ranges in Oregon will be used.
The nonprofit ‘is funded by a two-year, $822,000 state grant,’ according to an article by The Bulletin.
The article says that Morrisson ‘most recently worked as senior director of corporate investment for Jabil Inc., a supply chain management and electronic manufacturing firm.’ He was also CEO of Universal Biosensors, an Australian medical diagnostics company, and general manager of Bend, Ore.-based Sun Country Raft Tours.
