MOTA, a manufacturer of consumer electronics and wearables, has launched what it says is the smallest, lightest consumer drone on the market – the MOTA JETJAT Nano.
Able to perch on a fingertip, the JETJAT Nano, which comes in red with a black controller and black with a white controller, measures 22 x 22 x 20 mm (.86 x .86 x .79 in.) and weighs less than .5 oz.
“JETJAT Nano reinvents the drone to appeal to an enormous number of consumers worldwide. Best of all, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to fly one,” says Michael Faro, president of MOTA.
Sold fully assembled, the drone has a 75-foot range and can remain airborne for up to eight minutes on a charge. Its bright blue and red landing lights aid visual tracking, and its custom-designed controller includes a compartment for safe storage, says MOTA.
JETJAT Nano has a North American MSRP of $39.99, including the drone, a dual-joystick controller, four spare rotor blades and a USB charging cable.
