T-Mobile has announced a partnership with Netherlands-based unmanned aerial systems (UAS) manufacturer Aerialtronics.
Under the agreement, T-Mobile will use Aerialtronics' Altura systems to inspect telecom antenna masts in the Netherlands. Specifically, on Sept. 17, the Altura Zenith will be used to assess the antennae of the Galgenwaard football stadium in Utrecht.
In a press conference held at the Dutch T-Mobile headquarters, the telecommunications company said that unmanned systems can perform inspections more efficiently than conventional methods, as well as produce less noise pollution.
