Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI) – a developer of commercial modeling and analysis software for land, sea, air and space systems – has established a new business unit, SKYVUE LLC, which will deliver unmanned aircraft system (UAS) traffic management (UTM) software services for operations taking place beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS).
SKYVUE will be based in Exton, Pa., and have a supporting office in Washington, D.C.
The business will use AGI’s commercial situational awareness technology to provide air navigation services such as airspace management, real-time flight monitoring and deconfliction.
AGI says the new unit further expands the company’s situational awareness technology in the air domain.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to apply AGI’s proven technology to accelerate the adoption of commercial UAS operations,” says Paul Graziani, CEO and co-founder of AGI. “There is a close alignment of our situational awareness and decision-support capabilities with the technical needs of UAS traffic management.”
AGI says it is a member of both the Small UAV Coalition and Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International and has a Space Act Agreement with NASA in support of NASA’s UTM prototype effort with more than 200 industry stakeholders.
In an effort to accelerate the timeline of the commercial UTM software, SKYVUE plans to add strategic partners, says AGI.
