Man Arrested for Spying into Medical Facility with UAV

426_police_drones_4.11.2014 Man Arrested for Spying into Medical Facility with UAVA man has been arrested for allegedly trying to use an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to record what was happening inside exam rooms at a medical facility in Ulster, N.Y.

The Times Herald-Record reports that 49-year-old David Beesmer flew a camera-equipped UAV 10 to 15 feet outside the windows of rooms before staff and patients spotted it.

He was subsequently arrested for second-degree unlawful surveillance, which is a felony, according to the Times Herald-Record.
