BZ Media LLC has announced the addition of ‘The Bench’ to InterDrone, the International Drone Conference and Exposition, held Sept. 9-11 at The Rio in Las Vegas.
This special section on the main exhibitor floor will feature law firms with expertise in UAV issues, policy and regulations.
Joe Thompson, a Husch Blackwell attorney who will be presenting at InterDrone, says, ‘The Bench should provide a great opportunity for commercial builders, flyers and buyers of UAS to network with attorneys who represent clients in the industry.” Thompson will be presenting on legal issues in the precision agriculture sector.
InterDrone is also presenting 14 different sessions and panels on legal-related issues, including ‘FAA Regulations: The Latest Outlook,’ a panel moderated by Lisa Ellman of Hogan Lovells. Panelists include Michael Drobac of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and Brendan Schulman of Kramer Levin, among others.
‘Obtaining 333 exemptions is a tricky process, as well as navigating the UAV legal landscape as a whole – which is why The Bench is such a great addition to the InterDrone exhibit hall,” adds Ross Buntrock of Arnall Golden Gregory. “It really helps round out the program and allows attendees to get questions answered and connect with leading law firms in the space.’ Buntrock will also be teaching a 60-minute session, ‘Obtaining Section 333 Exemptions and Overview of State Law Developments.’
In addition to The Bench, InterDrone will feature more than 100 classes, panels and keynotes in all. This will be combined with an exposition showcasing an expected 80+ exhibitors. More than 60 sessions and 70 speakers have been posted so far.
