The Indiana House of Representatives has approved a bill limiting law enforcement usage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The bill was introduced by state Rep. Eric Koch, R-Bedford, before being assigned to committee. It ‘would require a search warrant before a [UAV] can be used to record video, unless there is an emergency,’ according to an article by WISHTV.com.
The House passed the bill, which has the support of state police, by an overwhelming majority. The state Senate will now consider it.
