Lausanne, Switzerland-headquartered Pix4D, which also operates in Shanghai, China, has now opened a branch in the U.S.

According to a company post, the new San Francisco office - located in the Spear Tower of the One Market Plaza - will “better serve the U.S. market,” as well as “develop a strong network of partnerships in a variety of sectors.”

It will be headed up by Antoine Martin, who has been in the unmanned aerial vehicle industry for seven years. Pix4D says it is looking to hire individuals “with a geospatial background” for this new branch.

Pix4D is a provider of aerial image processing software, including its Pix4Dmapper, which converts aerial images from manned or unmanned aircraft.
