DSLRPros Inc., responding to the recent safety campaign by drone industry officials and the Federal Aviation Administration to advise drone operators how to fly safely, has released Drone Academy X – what the company says is the first professional video series on drone education and safety.
According to DSLRPros, Drone Academy X includes over two hours of video-based instruction through 10 chapters that consumers can digitally download. Content includes how to set up the DJI Phantom 2 drone and operate software and hardware components, as well as flight safety and principles of flight.
“The goal of Drone Academy X is to make educational content affordable and accessible to all consumers,” says Don Scott, CEO of DSLRPros. “Anyone can post a video online, but there is nobody screening the accuracy or quality of the content. Drone Academy X was developed by a team of seasoned drone and filmmaking professionals who applied best practices to create educational videos that are engaging and effective.”
Along with the release of Drone Academy X, DSLRPros has launched a digital video platform, which enables the company to independently release and distribute the video content to drone operators.
Following Drone Academy X, DSLRPros says, it will look to add other educational and safety products to its online digital catalog, featuring topics such as DJI’s Inspire 1, S900 and S1000 to help consumers improve skills and procedures related to operating drones.
