Drone World Expo has announced partnerships with several groups, including the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA); the American Farm Bureau Federation; the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; and MAPPS, an association of photogrammetry, mapping and geospatial firms.
Drone World Expo will be working closely with the partners on various co-marketing and conference program initiatives leading up to the event, to be held Nov. 15-16 in San Jose, Calif.
The two-day conference, focused on advancements in the commercial drone industry, is also being developed with guidance from its advisory board. The conference will feature sessions and case studies addressing the regulatory environment for commercial drone use, as well as information for professionals using drones for commercial applications.
“As an association dedicated to the progress of air traffic control, bringing our perspective to Drone World Expo will help UAS users better understand the implications of drone implementation while also educating air traffic controllers and managers about new drone capabilities and how these vehicles are being used,” explains Peter F. Dumont, president and CEO of ATCA. “This partnership is a natural fit and one that will enhance the safety of the airspace moving forward.”
