Gap Wireless, a Canadian distributor of products and services for the mobile broadband and test and measurement markets, has added Sentera LLC’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and big data management software solutions to its product inventory.
Gap Wireless says it will be distributing Sentera’s sensors and drones to enable easy site inspections for challenging locations such as cell and broadcast antenna installations.
The company will also be distributing Sentera’s OnTop platform, which provides an integrated mobile app and desktop client that can analyze image data and record the exact location, date, time and asset type associated with every inspection photo. Photos are assigned to the correct site and are presented in a searchable map view.
“Gap Wireless is pleased to distribute leading-edge technology from Sentera that enables the broadcast and cellular industry to adopt safer inspection processes by deploying UAVs in challenging environments and also maximizes the value of captured images using cloud-based big data management,” explains Glenn Poulos, vice president and general manager of Gap Wireless.
