On Wed., Jan. 7, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is joining leading unmanned aerial systems (UAS) organizations and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at a 2015 International CES press conference on the Know Before You Fly initiative.
The new Know Before You Fly safety campaign is spearheaded by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and the Small UAV Coalition, in partnership with the FAA.
Conference hosts include the following: Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA; Michael Toscano, president and CEO of AUVSI; Richard Hanson, government and regulatory affairs director of AMA; Michael Drobac, executive director of the Small UAV Coalition; and Jim Williams, manager of the FAA’s UAS Integration Office.
Owned and produced by CEA, CEA is a gathering place for those in the business of consumer technologies. This year it is featuring an Unmanned Systems Marketplace.
The press conference is taking place at 4:00 p.m. PT in Room S228 at the Las Vegas Convention center.
