Amimon – a provider of HD wireless video-transmission solutions – has unveiled its CONNEX mini transmitter for smaller, lighter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The transmitter measures 65 x 45 x 15 mm and weighs 40 g, and the receiver measures 100 x 71 x 18 mm and weighs 140 grams. Despite its small size, CONNEX mini delivers full 1080p HD video at 60 frames per second without any signal degradation, zero latency, a range of 1,600 feet (500 m), and AES 128 encryption for secure transmission.
CONNEX mini also provides telemetry and control solutions for S-bus, CANBUS and PPM drone controllers and features an HDMI video interface on the receiver. The solution is also compatible with Amimon’s app, available for Windows, Android and Apple laptops.
The system offers multicast functionality by allowing a pilot to steer and position the UAV while a videographer controls all camera functions simultaneously and independently.
The CONNEX mini is currently available for an MSRP of $1,299.
Ram Ofir, CEO of Amimon, states, “We believe this new addition to the CONNEX line of HD wireless video-transmission solutions opens up a whole new realm of aerial video applications.”
