The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is rolling out the 19th annual AMA Expo West, presented by ReadyMadeRC.com, on Jan. 6-8.
Taking place at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, Calif., the three-day event will offer participants the opportunity to learn about, fly and buy model aircraft and small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS).
According to AMA, the event will also include speakers, exhibitors and ongoing events:
- Drone camp: hands-on workshops for attendees ages 7-19 to learn how to build, set up, fly and do tricks with a drone;
- Commercial UAS training: a how-to course to help prepare commercial drone pilots for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 107 required remote pilot test;
- Public safety training: a learning session to provide public safety officers with the tools they need to use UAS technology effectively in their jobs.
