London Drugs, a Canadian retail chain based in British Columbia, says it is seeing consumer drones as the next big evolution in action video and aerial photography and, thus, has added the 3D Robotics Solo smart drone to its offerings.
The Solo is available in stores and online at LondonDrugs.com. The retailer is also planning to offer the Parrot BeBop drone with SkyController.
‘The drone category has been making massive strides over the last decade,’ says Colin Cottrell, electronics and audio-video systems merchandise manager at London Drugs. ‘Beyond the obvious uses of the drone for photography, we see many practical uses for a variety of industries, like farming, real estate and construction. In many cases, the drone will become a business tool.’
Founded in 1945, London Drugs has 79 stores in more than 35 major markets throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
