3D Robotics (3DR) has made its IRIS+ drone-design files available for anyone to download, thus allowing users to 3D print the aircraft themselves, the company has announced.
According to a 3DR news post, users can go to MyMiniFactory.com, which is housing the files for free download, as well as a guide for assembling the quadcopter.
“After purchasing the necessary electronic components,” the company says, users can also “add to and embellish parts” of the 3D-printed aircraft.
3DR says this is its first time releasing drone-design files to the public.
