The Unmanned Safety Institute (USI), a provider of flight safety education and remote pilot training and certification, has partnered with the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA), a nonprofit that aims to advance the safe and effective use of aircraft by governmental agencies in support of public safety missions.

USI, a subsidiary of ARGUS International, says its portfolio of eLearning programs will be offered at a 10% discount for all ALEA members. These programs include the Small UAS Safety Ground School Course, the Small UAS Safety Awareness Course, and new products as are they are developed in the future.

USI’s Small UAS Safety Ground School offers approximately 24 hours of self-paced online content and prepares students to pass the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General exam to obtain their Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. USI says the school is endorsed by many aviation insurance providers and is accepted by the FAA for WINGS credit.

The Small UAS Safety Awareness Course comprises roughly four hours of self-paced online content online and provides advanced flight safety training. According to USI, the class is ideal for individuals who hold a Part 61 Airmen Certificate who already possess a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
