An unmanned aerial system (UAS) from DJI made an appearance at the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Golden Globe Awards tweeted, ‘This is how @djiglobal will provide a drone's eye view of tomorrow's #GoldenGlobes #RedCarpet,” with an accompanying 10-second video of the Inspire 1 in flight. The description says the aircraft would “be flying around and capturing #GoldenGlobes moments” at the Jan. 11 event.

Network host Carson Daly posted a video to Instagram of the UAS, which can be seen and heard hovering over empty space on the red carpet: “New 2015 red carpet trend….DRONES!! Famous middle aged balding men beware,” he wrote.

DJI took to Twitter to post a series of photos of celebrities taking part in the action, including Ricky Gervais with the equipment in his hands, as well as the House of Cards cast gazing up at the Inspire 1 in flight.

DJI introduced the new UAS in November. The company called it the world’s first flying camera designed for 4K use: the “perfect combination of the Phantom and Spreading Wings series,” according to CEO Frank Wang.
