Trouble is brewing at a jail in Dublin, Ireland, after an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) successfully delivered drugs to a prisoner in the outdoor yard.

Irish Examiner reports that although the quadcopter crashed on the Wheatfield Prison's wires intended to keep out helicopters, it carried a dangling line with a package holding the contraband. The drugs were then retrieved and concealed by a prisoner before staff could intervene.

The UAV, worth EUR 2,000, was confiscated by the Irish police force, who are conducting an investigation. The camera-equipped aircraft reportedly made a test run before this flight, as revealed in the memory card.
