New York's Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) helped them find items that were stolen from a home.

According to a Fox 28 WNYF report, a 22-year-old man had taken guns, medicine and jewelry from a property in Clayton, a small town in Jefferson County.

Horizon Aerial Media Services, which is based in another village in the county, reportedly came to the rescue and operated a UAV to help officials locate the goods. Motherboard says the operator flew the vehicle over a marsh and was able to spot reflections of the weapons under the water.
