Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Think Tank Photo has introduced a new, lightweight backpack for the 3DR Solo drone.

According to the company, drone users can fit their 3DR Solo, 15-inch laptop, controller, GoPros, charger, spare rotors, extra batteries, jacket and other tools in the Airport Helipak, which is compatible for carry-on for domestic and international flights.

“The No. 1 complaint of drone users about their bags is that, after just a few hours, their bodies are rebelling from the pain,” says Doug Murdoch, Think Tank’s CEO and lead designer. “For a decade, we’ve released photography and outdoor backpacks designed to hold expensive and extremely heavy photographic equipment. The very same principles we used for them have been integrated into the Airport Helipak for 3DR Solo backpack. Now they can venture deep afield with all of their gear and no concerns about comfort.”

With all accessories, the backpack weighs in at 4.6 lbs. The exterior features a water-repellent coating, and the interior features removable, closed-cell foam dividers.
