Police Nab UAV Operator by U.S. Open Match

Following two incidents of a similar kind at both a professional and college football game, a man has been arrested for operating an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) too close to a sporting event.

According to the New York Post, the 34 year-old was flying the aircraft near New York City's National Tennis Center, where a quarter-final round of the U.S. Open was taking place on the night of Sept. 3.

When police noticed the UAV, they had the man ground it and then brought him into custody. As of press time, his arrest charges are pending.
