To help educate and train professionals in the use of drones for mapping and surveying, Pix4D is kicking off InterDrone 2016 with a half-day technical workshop.

InterDrone is being held Sept. 7-9 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas; Pix4D’s session will be held on Sept. 6 at 1:00 – 5:30 p.m. The program costs $295, which includes a pass to InterDrone’s exhibit hall, film festival and keynotes. The workshop can also include a 30-day license of Pix4Dmapper Pro for a total cost of $445.

According to BZ Media LLC, host of InterDrone, the Pix4D workshop will cover modern photogrammetry (2D and 3D), best practices for image acquisition, geo-referencing and project accuracy, file outputs, and processing.

Pix4D recently announced the launch of its global training program, which will offer technical workshops around the world to support the expansion of drone mapping.

“Demand in Pix4D’s technology is growing, and we chose to have our first new-users’ workshop at InterDrone, one of the largest of the commercial drone shows,” says Antoine Martin, Pix4D’s business manager for North America.

Ted Bahr, InterDrone’s Chairman, adds, “This workshop is an excellent way for people to kick off their three-day immersion in commercial drones at InterDrone with a deep dive into photogrammetry.”
