Another college is offering courses that provide instruction for students looking to go into the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) field or for those simply interested in the aircraft.

According to The Bellingham Herald, Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Ore., is adding a summer class devoted to everything about UAVs, including operations, applications and design.

The goal is for the students to “demonstrate operational competency” in using the aircraft, the article says.

Other institutions have recently added UAV courses, including colleges in Montana and Ohio – even a summer camp for kids in Kansas. The University of South Florida even says that starting in the fall, it will have a UAV available for checkout in the library.
