Lowepro has announced the newest addition to its DroneGuard collection of cases: the DroneGuard Backpack 450 AW.

The new backpack, available for $249.95, features a modular interior for custom organization: Lined and padded dividers are adjustable to fit a DJI Phantom (including the new Phantom 4), 3DR Solo or similarly shaped quadcopters, as well as batteries, props, an RC/transmitter, cables and manuals.

The pack includes a CradleFit pocket, which can suspend and safeguard a 10-inch tablet, and a molded FormShell top pocket for easy access to other belongings. In addition, the bag’s straps feature SlipLock attachment loops to expand holding capacity.

Lowepro says its ActivZone harness provides breathable and supportive suspension for the users’ shoulder blades, lumbar spine and waist. A built-in All-Weather AW Cover can also be deployed to protect the backpack from extreme environments.

“Our design and development teams are drone enthusiasts who fly – almost daily – and build their own drones,” notes Tim Grimmer, vice president of brand and product for Lowepro. “In designing a quadcopter backpack, they knew that functionality, comfort and protection from the elements were of high importance.”
