InterDrone, the International Drone Conference & Exposition, is partnering with The Seminar Group to host a full-day legal seminar on drones.
InterDrone will take place Sept. 7-9 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The law seminar, “Legal and Regulatory Considerations of Drones and UAVs,” will offer continuing legal education credits in Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and Texas. The event will be held at the Paris Hotel on Sept. 6.
Topics covered include privacy and civil liberties, insurance issues with unmanned aerial vehicles, risk management issues for manufacturers and operators, and states’ response to evolving drone issues.
The program co-chairs are Michael E. Drobac, executive director of the Small UAV Coalition and senior policy advisor with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Washington, D.C., and Daniel P. Ridlon, counsel with Perkins Coie LLP in Seattle. Following the program, Perkins Coie will sponsor a reception.
“InterDrone is expecting 4,000 attendees, and we’re excited to offer this extra educational opportunity to our collective audiences,” says Chris Terp, CEO of The Seminar Group.
Ted Bahr, InterDrone’s chairman, adds, “We are delighted to partner with The Seminar Group and offer this seminar to people who want a deep dive into legal and regulatory issues. Add this to the 15-18 sessions at InterDrone focused on legal and regulatory affairs, and it will be nearly impossible to leave Las Vegas without a full and current understanding of the UAV legal landscape.”
