Calypso Communications, a public relations, marketing and creative design firm, has used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to provide communications services for renewable energy company Iberdrola Renewables.

Using UAVs to record footage of Iberdrola's 48 MW Groton Wind Farm in New Hampshire, Calypso completed a video and animation project of the farm's construction, operations and renewable energy merits.

Iberdrola then used the interactive tool for community and educational outreach about wind energy, Calypso says.

‘Drone camera technology is an exciting new tool that our production team uses to create powerful videos at a fraction of the cost of traditional aerial videography,’ says Mike Teixeira, vice president and creative director at Calypso. ‘For the Iberdrola video, we used drones to capture beautiful, sweeping images that tell the complex story of wind energy from a unique perspective.”
